jeff smith, ceo, chloe’s dad
jeff is the founder of bigmoose. following the death of his best friend, gary ‘moose’ cloonan he was inspired to live every day to the fullest and create a legacy for moose.
jeff is a proud dad of two and a grandparent to one. jeff played professional ice hockey for the cardiff devils and once retired from hockey he went on to become a fully qualified skydiver, ultra runner and mountain climber. he is a marathon des sables finisher and a mount everest summiteer.
jeff’s passion for helping people is evident in every thing he does, he dreams big, never gives up and always has new and exciting ideas for how bigmoose can grow and help more people.
chloe smith, coo, jeff’s daughter
chloe has been involved with bigmoose since its inception, and her passion to help others shone through from the two years she spent helping feed rough sleepers in cardiff.
a very determined young lady, she climbed mount kilimanjaro aged 15, ran a 42 mile ultramarathon aged 22, and opened bigmoose coffee co aged 23.
chloe exudes a passion for helping others, and is a keynote speaker, with an infectious spirit of can do, which often leaves audiences amazed at her strength.

bethan has been a bigmoose supporter since it’s inception in 2014. in her work life she is a face to face fundraiser for the rnli and when she isn’t working she can be found at the beach, surfing or walking her beautiful puppy, frankie. bethan brings experience and passion to the role as chair of trustees and we’re so pleased to have her on board.

personal assistant to jeff and chloe
alex joined the bigmoose team in november 2022 after graduating in politics from cardiff university! not only does she work as chloe and jeff’s personal assistant, she works with chloe on the referrals. in her spare time alex can be found cooking up a storm or facetiming her cats from home!

josie began working with bigmoose in a voluntary role however we soon saw how brilliant she was and offered her a role within the team. she has worked in education and project management for the last few years and bring exceptional organisational skills to the role. when not working josie can be found with her lovely daughter, isla, husband ben and sausage dog, frank!

louise joined the bigmoose team in april 2023. in her role as charity officer she works on our marketing, including our social media and events. before joining bigmoose she worked in marketing for a tech startup and also studied english language at cardiff university. in her spare time, she can be found running, reading or trying out new food places in cardiff!

steve is a father of 4, and grandfather to 2. he owns and runs westmore insure ltd and founder of 10yfan since 2015 which was nominated for a pride of britain award!in his spare time he loves sailing, ice hockey, walking and the general outdoors.

jane has been a friend and supporter of chloe & jeff (and tania!) for over 20 years! she has been on the bigmoose journey since day 1, including one of the first ever bigmoose events - walk for nepal. she is a mum to two daughters and two dogs, and loves being in nature. she’s the queen of organisation and people!
